Lois
is the driving force behind all three of the businesses, at the start
of her working life Lois joined the police force but after a couple of
years decided this wasn't the career path that really suited her. She
worked as an estate agent and also a private investigator. In 1990
Lois married Antony and started work at his families dog grooming
parlour, the business was well established and constantly busy but was
static. In 1995 Lois and Antony opened Northampton Reptile Centre,
with Lois' acute business mind and the constant desire to improve
trade the reptile centre grew and eventually moved into its own
purpose built shop. Not content with just reptiles Lois proposed
moving into parrots in 2003 and in 2004 a custom built premises was
finished. These days most of Lois' work is computer based working on
the financial side as well as developing the ever changing internet
site. |
| Interests: |
Most
of Lois' time is dedicated to the running and improvement of the
business, but in her spare time Lois enjoys spending time with Antony
and her son Cameron, Lois enjoys skiing holidays and getting away to
the coast. |

Antony
has been working in a family business since 1984, his previous
employer was Royal Mail, Antony spent the following years working as a
dog groomer. After marrying Lois he continued work in the grooming
side until 1995 when they set up Northampton Reptile Centre, this is
now a thriving enterprise which has expanded into a parrots as well.
Antony divides his time between the three departments applying his
valuable expertise in dog grooming, helping in the parrot centre as
well as building vivariums for the reptile shop. |

Interests: |
Antony
spends much of his time working but any spare time is spent with his
family and if they get the opportunity of a few days off the chance is
taken to go either skiing or to spend time at the coast. |

History: |
Since leaving
further education in 2004 Jeremy has dabbled in with many vocations
having
worked as a barman,
silver service waiter, salesman and insulation assistant. He has also
spent a number of
months working on his fathers farm – the main source of funding for
his
three years at
university. In 2004 Jeremy starting work experience that progressed to
part time
work in the reptile
centre. He then after a year was offered a full time placement. |

Interests: |
Interests Jeremy loves
sport and has played football and rugby for various teams. He has
recently taken up squash and Kung Fu. Jez occasionally turns has hand
to writing, enjoys chess, crosswords and playing the guitar

History: |
Leaving school at 16
Emma worked for 5 years at Garden Machines Northampton Ltd, working
with a variety of animals including rodents, parrots, reptiles and
fish. Emma then proceeded to stay in the retail trade until starting a
family in 1999. Emma has just returned to work and become our newest
member of our team.

Interests: |
Being widowed very early Emma’s spare time is spent
with her daughter Georgina. Emma enjoys doing all family activities
and also plays in a ladies skittle team once a week. |
