I had three medium hides, two lava and one sandstone. Compared to all the other reptile hides I have so far come across, these are REALLY heavy, which can be a good thing as they can\'t be moved much by the animals, but I would be wary of using them in a glass tank. The material is thick not leaving all that much room to actually hide in compared to similar sized resin hides. I would say the medium would just about suit a yearling cornsnake, but nothing much bigger. The surface texture is nice and realistic, very rock-like. One thing to note is that the lava colour is very different from the photo, I was hoping for a nice Mojave-desert red as pictured but they are pretty much grey with a few orangey smudges. I think I will have to paint mine to go with the rest of my decor. The sandstone is a better match, but has a definite greenish tinge compared to the light beige porridge colour pictured.
