Tiger Taratula Gives Eggs the Sack

Vietnam Tiger Egg Sack

We absolutley love breeding our own animals so it was a lovely surprise to find another egg sack this morning! Today it was the turn of our Vietnam Tiger Tarantulas.

Vietnam Tiger Tarantulas are an aggressive species from South-East Asia. This aggression will serve the egg sack well as it’s guaranteed to be well protected.

We’ve moved her to a nice quiet part of the building to give her a stress free away from the hussle and bussle of the shop. We now cannot wait until the spiderlings hatch and we have even more babies!

We will keep you updated!

i bought this baby and named her nancy, after sid vicious’ girlfriend. i think that is enough said on the temperament of this beautiful but misunderstood tarantula. it has a reputation, along with the blue cobalt for being one of the most aggressive t’s about. the truth is this ever so secretive spider just likes to be left alone, when disturbed or provoked it is a force to be reckoned with. for a terrestrial spider it matches any pokie in speed, agility and outdoes any other spider with its DEFENSIVE behaviour. it is a very interesting pet but not for the faint hearted or anyone looking for a “show pony” as a pet. being a burrower and nocturnal you will very rarely be graced with this madam’s presence. strictly for enthusiasts and experienced keepers only. ( in my opinion )
