We’re recruiting, fancy working with reptiles?

With the expansion of Northampton Reptile Centre, and the pending opening of our first Realm of Reptiles Franchise in Milton Keynes, it has never been busier here! We’re going to need more people!

We will be looking to recruit both full-time and part time team members in Northampton and Milton Keynes in the near future. Main duties will include animal husbandry and professionally assisting store customers.

We won’t just employ anybody though, we only want to work with the best! If you’re average, or have nothing exceptional to contribute to reptile retail, please do not apply.

I always speak the truth.  What I promise is what I deliver.  I only ever make agreements with myself and others that I am willing and intend to keep.  I communicate potential broken agreements at the first opportunity and I clear up all broken agreements immediately.

4. Excellence …

Good enough isn’t.  I always deliver products and services of exceptional quality that add value to all involved for the long term.  I look for ways to do more with less and stay on a path of constant and never ending improvement and innovation.

5. Communication …

I speak positively of my fellow team members, my clients and Northampton Reptile Centre/ Realm Of Reptiles in both public and private. I speak with good purpose using empowering and positive conversation.  I never use or listen to sarcasm or gossip.  I acknowledge what is being said as true for the speaker at that moment and I take responsibility for responses to my communication. I greet and farewell people using their name.  I always apologise for any upsets first and then look for a solution.  I only ever discuss concerns in private with the person involved.

6. Success …

I totally focus my thoughts, energy and attention on the successful outcome of whatever I am doing.  I am willing to win and allow others to win: Win/Win. At all times, I display my inner pride, prosperity, competence and personal confidence.  I am a successful person.

7. Education …

I learn from mistakes, both my own and others.  I am approachable and open; I feel I can always ask questions and I am pleased to pass on knowledge to my colleagues and clients.  I impart practical and useful knowledge rather than just theory.  I am an educator and, subject to ethical considerations, I enable my clients to make their own choices and informed decisions.

8. Team Work 

I am a team player and lead where I have superior expertise.  Team cohesion is priority.  I work toward team achievement rather than my own individual achievement.  I focus on co-operation and always aim to resolve problems and issues rather than compromising them.  I am flexible in my work and able to change if what I’m doing is not working.  I ask for help when I need it and I am compassionate to others who ask me.

11. Systems …

I always look to systems for a solution.  If a challenge arises, I use a system correction before I look for a people correction.  I innovate through a system solutions rather than people solutions.  I follow the system exactly until it is superceded.  I suggest system improvements at the first opportunity..

12. Consistency

The benefit of consistency is assurance. I am consistent in my actions so my clients, team mates and stakeholders can invariably feel comfortable in dealing with me. I am disciplined in my work so my results, growth and success are consistent.

13. Gratitude 

I am a genuinely gracious person. I say ‘thank you’ and show appreciation, often and in many ways, so that those around me know how much I appreciate everything and everyone in my life. I celebrate my wins and the wins of my team, my clients, and other stakeholders.  I consistently acclaim myself and other people doing things right.

For interactions and transactions, I use the win-win strategy, where each party emerges feeling good.  This delivers bonding, goodwill and delivers the highest rate of long term success, both socially and commercially.
