Due to the high content of humic substances and essential oils, the beautiful, reddish bark of the Douglas fir is very resistant to rotting and smells fresh for a very long time. This substrate is ideal to ensure a constant humidity in the terrarium because it can be kept slightly moist without the risk of mold or decay.

Ideal for many tropical lizards, snakes and turtles. The product has a fine particle size but low dust content making it ideal for many uses and prevents live food from hiding in the substrate. Bark Bedding is not suitable for use with floor heating.
