This bulb measuring only 3" wide and 4.5" long needs to be given the same respect when using as the rest of the Mega-Ray professional products. While it has a minimum distance of 6" from the face of the bulb to the top of the animal, the 'optimal' distance is between 9-12" and even further for low UVB requirement creatures such as amphibians.

Producing only 70 watts of heat they can be used in smaller habitats then the other Mega-Ray UV bulbs. Juvenile turtles, tortoises and lizards love this bulb! This is also a great Avian and snake UVA-UVB source.
