Airplant - Tillandsia ionantha 'Rubra'

Description

Another really popular variety and rightly so. Easy to care for these attractive, yellowish-green plants have a lovely shape, are reminiscent of a sea anemone, and are quite often tinged peachy red through to coral; especially at flowering time. Each plant can easily produce several, striking purple flowers at a time. These are often followed by an offset or ‘pup’ which can be left to develop, or removed, by hand, when about two thirds the size of the mother.
