Description
Designed by ProRep, the Lamp Dome with PID Dimming Thermostat combines an aluminium reflector dome with a thermostat built into the fitting, giving accurate control of a basking site from a single unit. A PID controller continuously trims power to the lamp rather than switching it on and off, holding the target temperature without the light cycling.

How to use:
Position the probe at the height where the animal will bask, not on the enclosure floor, and site the dome so no animal can contact the hot outer surface. Use only incandescent, halogen, or compatible dimmable heat lamps; never fluorescent, compact fluorescent, LED, mercury vapour, metal halide, or any non-dimmable lamp, and disconnect from the mains before changing a lamp. This unit provides heat and visible light only, so pair it with a separate UVB lamp where the species requires one.
