ProRep's 90x45x45cm vivarium range offers high-quality, lightweight, and affordable housing for reptiles. With a sleek black aluminium frame, these vivariums provide an unbeatable view of your pet and their habitat. But aside from being lightweight, easy to build, and stunning to look at, they also pack some seriously clever design choices.
Key features:
Unlike traditional all-wooden vivariums, the ProRep vivarium range utilises a robust aluminium frame as its main support structure. This elegant change eliminates the risk of wearing or splitting panels over time. Additionally, as the aluminium profile runs along all of the outer edges, it is able to securely lock side and back panels in place for a rigid, long-lasting build, designed to last for years.
Thanks to the strength of the aluminium frame, the ProRep vivarium range can utilise thinner and lighter panels without sacrificing durability. The bottom panel is crafted from 12mm melamine-coated chipboard, and the sides from 6mm melamine-coated chipboard. The lid remains 15mm thick, which has become the standard for wooden vivariums, as it allows a variety of equipment to be screwed directly into the ceiling of the enclosure and held securely in place. All of these improvements in weight and design lead to a vivarium that's easy to build and light enough to relocate.
Owing to the aluminium corner posts, there is no longer a need to use large obstructive support plinths on the front of the enclosure. For maximum visibility, the ProRep vivarium range includes a bottom strip of glass, topped with a black runner for the sliding glass doors, which extend all the way to the ceiling. The front profile is visually stunning when fully decorated.
Product Specifications:
The 90 x 45 x 45cm dimensions make this a practical enclosure for a range of terrestrial reptiles. Corn snakes, leopard geckos and similar species of a comparable size are well suited to this format, and the 45cm depth gives enough floor space for a proper warm to cool temperature gradient. As always, check the adult size requirements for your specific species before committing to this size.
The aluminium corner posts run along all outer edges of the enclosure, locking the panels in place for a rigid, long lasting structure. Unlike an all-wooden vivarium, there is no risk of the frame wearing or splitting over time. The aluminium profile also removes the need for bulky front support plinths, which is what allows the full height glass doors to run from the bottom strip all the way to the ceiling for maximum visibility.
Side-mounted vents allow the back of the enclosure to sit flush against a wall without blocking airflow, which is a practical advantage in most setups. A 5mm ventilation lip around the top and bottom panels supports consistent airflow throughout the enclosure. The adjustable rear cable ports make it straightforward to route heating and lighting equipment without disrupting the setup once it is decorated and in use.
The bottom panel is 12mm melamine-coated chipboard, the side panels are 6mm, and the top panel is 15mm. The thinner side panels are possible because the aluminium frame carries the structural load rather than the wood, keeping overall weight down without sacrificing durability. The 15mm lid matches the standard for wooden vivariums and means equipment can be screwed securely into the ceiling of the enclosure.
