Small Calciworms as Reptile Food

Many reptile and amphibian species enjoy calciworms as part of their main livefood diet.

They are easy to catch and highly nutritious, especially for calcium. They are a great treat for your reptile or amphibian once or twice a week. The calciworms are dispatched directly from the breeder and will be gut-loaded before packing to make sure that they are as nutritious as possible on arrival.

Calciworms are small, so they are the perfect size for reptiles of most sizes and small amphibians. In the store, we use the worms to feed our baby and juvenile amphibians and geckos.

Packaging

The calciworms arrive in a ventilated plastic tub. Small air holes along the sides provide airflow while keeping the worms safely contained.

In warmer months, the outer cardboard box may have extra perforations for cooling. In colder months, we may include a plain white heat pack to help maintain a suitable temperature during transit.

Feeding Guide

If you want to keep the calciworms as nutritious as possible, we recommend feeding them a healthy diet right up until they're used.

• Offer fresh leafy greens, carrots, squash, or sweet potatoes; these provide hydration and essential nutrients.

• You can also use specialist insect foods or gut-loading diets to boost their nutritional value for your reptile.

• Remove any uneaten food daily to keep the enclosure clean and prevent mould or decay.

Care Instructions

Keep calciworms at room temperature, away from direct sunlight or draughts. Add fresh food at regular intervals to keep them healthy and active.

Avoid overcrowding by providing size-appropriate housing with plenty of hiding spots.

Looking after your live food properly helps ensure your lizard or other pet gets the best nutrition possible.

Dispatch Information

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.

Orders placed before 12pm will be dispatched that day

Orders placed after 12pm are not guaranteed to be dispatched that day.

Frozen food will not be dispatched on a Friday unless Saturday delivery is specified.

Dispatch emails & tracking information are sent throughout the day.

Royal Mail

Royal Mail 24 - 1st class service that aims to deliver within 1 day of dispatch (not guaranteed).

Royal Mail 24 Tracked - 1st class service that aims to deliver within 1 day of dispatch (not guaranteed).

APC

Mainland UK - next-day courier with pre-12pm or pre-4pm delivery services (excluding some Scottish postal codes).

Saturday - aims to delivery before 12pm Saturday to mainland UK if the order is placed before 12pm Friday(excluding some Scottish postal codes).

DX

Mainland UK - next day courier with pre-1pm or pre-6pm delivery services (excludes some Scottish postal codes).

Saturday - delivers Saturday to mainland UK if order placed before 12pm Friday (excluding some Scottish postal codes).

Kings/ Tuffnell's

Some heavy items may need to be moved from your selected delivery service to a palletised delivery service with a delivery time of 1-2 working days.

Offshore/ Remote UK Delivery:

Orders via Royal Mail are unaffected. Orders that need to be delivered via a courier may (but not always) incur additional delivery charges if you live in one of the following post codes; AB30-56, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-50, ZE, IM, BT & TR21-25.
