The new ProRep Fruit Jelly Pots are now available to buy at Northampton Reptile Centre.
Here’s what the manufacturer ProRep have to say about their new product

“These great little jelly pots are ideal as a food for many invertebrates such as beetles, cockroaches and millipedes as well as a regular treat for nectar or fruit eating reptiles. Made from a high protein jelly fortified with real fruit, honey or other flavours Crested Geckos, Day Geckos, Anoles and many other species love them.

The insect food jelly is ideal for extending the life of livefoods, as well as providing extra calcium for gut loading.”

They do seem great as a food and moisture source for livefood, so we thought we’d test them on some silent brown crickets. The flavour we tried was banana!

As you can see, they loved it! But what we thought was great was how healthy the crickets were after one week. We did nothing more with this tub, just put the jelly pot in and left it on the side for a week. All of the crickets were so fat too!

The protein jelly food pots are available in the following flavours:

    • Banana
    • Strawberry
    • Honey
    • Lactic Acid
    • Cricket Food
    • Black Sugar

Apart from the fact that the crickets are being better cared for, the real benefit comes when feeding fat, juicy, nutrient-packed insects to your reptiles. It’s far better diet for your pets, and that’s what it’s all about!
