Zoo Med’s new Eco Earth Coconut Chips is a natural coconut coir substrate made from an eco-friendly, renewable resource. The material is highly absorbent (holds up to 8 times its dry weight in water!) and retains that moisture well, releasing it slowly to create a humid, tropical environment perfect for a variety of different reptiles, amphibians, and invertebrates.

This substrate works well as a stand-alone substrate for humidity-loving species, and for humid microclimates, but can also be used in bioactive substrates. When mixed into a bioactive soil mixture, the coarse pieces increase aeration, resist compaction, and allow for drainage which are all beneficial factors in supporting live plant growth and clean-up-crew health.

Coconut Chips are long-lasting and naturally mold-resistant, so you won’t need to change or replace them frequently. After use, this product can be safely composted and reused in potted plants or gardens!

Dispatch Information

Orders are dispatched Monday to Friday excluding bank holidays.

Orders placed before 12pm will be dispatched that day

Orders placed after 12pm are not guaranteed to be dispatched that day.

Frozen food will not be dispatched on a Friday unless Saturday delivery is specified.

Mainland UK - next-day courier with pre-12pm or pre-4pm delivery services (excluding some Scottish postal codes).

Saturday - aims to delivery before 12pm Saturday to mainland UK if the order is placed before 12pm Friday(excluding some Scottish postal codes).

DX

Mainland UK - next day courier with pre-1pm or pre-6pm delivery services (excludes some Scottish postal codes).

Some heavy items may need to be moved from your selected delivery service to a palletised delivery service with a delivery time of 1-2 working days.

Offshore/ Remote UK Delivery:

Orders via Royal Mail are unaffected. Orders that need to be delivered via a courier may (but not always) incur additional delivery charges if you live in one of the following post codes; AB30-56, IV, HS, KA27-28, KW, PA20-49, PA60-78, PH17-26, PH30-50, ZE, IM, BT & TR21-25.
