Jade Plant 'Sunset' (Crassula ovata) - X-Large

Easily maintained, the vibrant yellow and red-tinged leaves evoke feelings of a calm, leisurely summer. Similar to the standard ovata, Crassula Sunset forms a tree-like shape with a sturdy trunk and branches.

Proper watering is crucial for the Jade Plant 'Sunset' (Crassula ovata). Avoid over-watering, especially during the winter, as succulents prefer drier soil. Before watering, test the moisture level with your finger. If the plant is in a container or saucer without drainage holes, make sure there is no standing water at the bottom by adding pebbles or grit. These plants can go for extended periods without watering and fare better when under-watered rather than over-watered.

When it comes to caring for succulents, it's important not to overfeed them or use the wrong type of feed. While a low nitrogen Cactus food can be beneficial during the summer, it should only be used once a month for most succulents.

When caring for Succulents and Cacti, it's important to use a well-drained compost. A suitable option is to combine 3 parts John Innes No. 2 loam based compost with 1 part horticultural grit, creating a mix that provides both a nice open structure and good drainage.
