About Corn Snakes

Corn snakes are probably the most commonly kept and popular pet snake in the UK. They will only get to around 6ft in length but remain very slender making them smaller and easier to handle than pythons or boas. They usually have a great temperament and are very easy to feed and care for which makes them a great choice for first time keepers.

Corn snakes only need to feed once a week or fortnight depending on how large they are which means they require very little upkeep. As they don't feed often it means that waste also accumulates slowly and with daily spot cleans you might only need to fully clean the enclosure once every 4-6 weeks. The corn snake will need fresh water every day.

Corn snakes can be found in many reptile shops all over the counrty and are often presented with many different colour and pattern morphs. More common morphs like snow, axanthic or hypo can display as a bright pink, dark brown or bright orange snake. Each is unique making the corn snake a very diverse range of snakes.
