Pueblan Milk Snake Care Sheet

Natural History

Pueblan milk snakes are a non venemous colubrid snake from Puebla, Morelos and Oaxaca in Mexico. They are well known for their tri colour striped pattern and have been kept as pets in the UK for a very long time. They were named for the American herpetologist Jonathan A. Campbell.

This little snake is very similar to a corn snake but they are normally slightly shy, quicker and better at escaping their confines. They are a brilliant pet for those who have kept snakes previously and would like something a bit more exotic and challenging. Though the natural milk snake will display bands of white, black and red there have been colour and patterns selectively bred in captivity.
