Drippers

The Exo Terra Dripper Plant is a realistic plant that was designed to meet the watering needs of tree dwelling reptiles and amphibians like e.g. Chameleons. Arboreal reptiles generally do not recognize motionless sources of water; instead they drink from moving dewdrops and raindrops while foraging in the forest canopy. The Exo Terra Dripper Plant supplies a continual supply of cascading water droplets, attracting even the most reluctant reptile to drink. Regular access to a recognizable source of drinking water helps prevent illnesses related to dehydration, and will improve your animals overall health.

Installation

• Place pump inside a water reservoir, like an Exo Terra Water Dish Large or X-Large (NOT INCLUDED).
• Attach water-tube to Dripper Plant.
• Position Dripper Plant above water reservoir to prevent spilling.
• Attach water-tube with connector to pump.
• Dry hands, then connect plug to power source.
• Adjust dripping speed by turning valve.

Zoo Med's Drippers simulate natural rainfall and provide humidity for captive reptiles. The Dripper has a folding handle lid that allows you to suspend the dripper above the enclosure. Especially helpful for animals that do not readily drink standing water and instead drink dew from leaves (i.e. Old World Chameleons).

Drippers are very practical and good for the well-being of the animals, however most available models are not looking very attractive. The Lucky Reptile Dripper changes this fact; it looks like a tree trunk but is a fully usable dripping system with internal 1L water reservoir. It looks very natural adding a certain attractiveness to the terrarium. It also presents additional climbing and hiding spaces to the animals.
The Dripper is mounted on a special support which is fixed to the vivarium wall with silicone (included).
