5 Popular Corn Snake Morphs

by Luke Tansley on in Shop News Snakes

Corn snakes are the perfect beginner snake and one of our best-selling reptiles. Not only do they remain quite slender, but they are also a very passive snake and remain tame with very little interaction.

They aren’t a particularly large snake and come in a multitude of colours and patterns, from bright pink to deep reds, blacks and browns.

Here are five of our favourite corn snake morphs.

1. Striped Corn Snake

Striped Corn Snake

Striped corn snakes can come in a range of colours but will always have a clear and distinct dorsal stripe running the length of the snake. We personally love the common stripe or darker colours like cinder, anery or charcoal stripe corns.

2. Snow Tessera Corn Snake

The snow on this snake is what makes it pink/white, while the tessera puts a dorsal stripe and interesting side pattern along the length of the snake.

Snow corn snakes are always really interesting snakes when compared to the normal dark or warm-coloured snakes you would find in the wild.

3. Topaz Motley Corn Snake

Topaz Motley Corn Snake

Topaz motley corn snakes are a gorgeous yellow/amber colour paired with a white/cream colour underneath. They are very similar to the more common caramel corn snakes and are a really interesting colour.

The motley pattern on this snake has removed the normal saddles and replaced them with clear patches along the top of the snake.

4. Blue Striped Corn Snake

We have only recently started getting in the blue corn snakes, and every single one has been stunning.

The corn in this picture also has the stripe pattern, which has removed a lot of the dark saddle marks and side patterns, making it an even cooler snake.

5. Sunkissed Ultramel Corn Snake

Sunkissed ultramel corn snakes are the closest in this list to a common (wild type) corn snake.

They still have the orange and red pigment of a natural corn snake, but the gaps between the colours are more distinct, all of the colours are brighter and there is little to no dark brown or black on the snake. Ultramel corn snakes are absolutely stunning when fully grown.
